Acclaimed Nashville rockers A Thousand Horses will release their new album White Flag Down on Feb 27th 2026. To coincide with the announcement, the band have released the thundering new single ‘Dead Man Walking’, which ushers in a new chapter and sound for the band. Bassist Graham DeLoach says, “’Dead Man Walking’ is a song about betrayal. It’s about how sometimes in life, the people that you give the most to and trust the deepest, also have the sharpest knife. That stab in the back feels like a death sentence. ‘Dead Man Walking’ also features a monologue by Chris Mason, who is currently playing Keiran Atreides in the HBO series Dune: Prophecy. The new single follows the release of ‘Voices’, which was the first taste of new music since last year’s album The Outside. It’s the band’s third studio album and signifies a turning point in their career after a period of intense change in their personal lives. With ‘Voices’, A Thousand Horses charged out the gate with a brooding, stadium sized anthem, which sees them delve into their rock roots with an impassioned and creative resolve. It has been so well received that it has overtaken their platinum certified single ‘Smoke’ in its first month of release. It follows a hugely successful summer after the band made their triumphant return to the UK for the first time since 2019 reminding audiences of their adept charge in the rock’n’roll arena. With White Flag Down, A Thousand Horses continue their musical journey fresh, focused and fulfilled. Guitarist Bill Satcher says, “Rock’n’roll has always been at the core of our sound and with this next album we are diving all the way in. “We approached this album intent on refocusing our creative energies and inspirations. Something inside was calling us to dig deeper and tell our stories in the most raw and truthful way possible. DeLoach adds, “With the new album We promised our fans this would be our heaviest album yet and we meant it.” A Thousand Horses are a two-time ACM Award nominated Nashville group and with 320 million+ streams, sold-out shows, and widespread acclaim are also known for their incendiary live show, and have toured with iconic acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Greg Allman and more. |
