On the track aesthetic, Vandal shares: “Sixty-Six” is a late-night drive on cracked asphalt — chipped paint, dirty floors, and a heart that refuses to stall.”

With hometowns ranging from Chile to Baltimore and influences ranging NOFX to Animals as Leaders, the A New Violet hone a sharp mix of gritty punk and melodic alternative rock.

Fist pumping “Runaway” was the first single under the A New Violet moniker, with subsequent EP, The Heat is Getting Hotter coming as a statement-making collection in late 2023, showing a cohesive maturity and conviction in their delivery, despite their newcomer status. The record was rambunctious iteration of the genre, dressed in both old and new school influence and a wave of blossoming pop sensibility.

“Trust us when we say Orlando pop punks, A New Violet will be your new favorite band.” – The Honey Pop

Back with their first single in almost two years, A New Violet put their punk foot forward with the resonating, attitude filled “Sixty-Six”, a nod to the Riot Grrrl movement of the early 90s, but as relevant as ever in 2025.

“If you like your punk big on attitude but still catchy as hell, keep an ear out for A New Violet” – Punk Rock Theory
