Brighton punk four-piece Harker have released another taster of their forthcoming new album ‘All That Remains’, due out 2nd October via Disconnect Disconnect (with Shield Recordings doing the honours in Europe and Fixing a Hole Records in Japan). You can listen to ‘Hell Knows When’ now. Vocalist and guitarist Mark Boniface says of the track: “I can’t tell if as you get older you give less or more of a shit about people hurting you. All I know is – now I’m wiser, and I know my boundaries. You can deal with the hurt you have caused to your own soul, I hope to never see you again.”
‘Hell Knows When’ is the latest in a slew of punk anthem-in-the-makings that have been released and are set to appear on the full length. Latest single ‘Dislocation’ appeared on the Kerrang! Chart and K! Radio Fresh Blood with Rock Sound noting the band are “adding more layers to their heart-on-sleeve punk legacy.”
‘All That Remains’ also includes last year’s singles – ‘Redacted’ (“about the past you’d rather forget — mistakes, regrets, and once-friends that haunt you”) and Harker’s self-deprecating but rousing anti-anthem ‘I Ruin Everything.’ The song—an explosive reflection on living with ADHD and Boniface’s own diagnosis—served as the first taste of the new record’s raw emotional core.
‘All That Remains’ was recorded and mixed by Toby May (The Levellers, The Wedding Present, CLT DRP), with additional production from the band, and mastered by Jason Livermore (Propagandhi, Rise Against, Hot Water Music, NOFX) at Blasting Room Studios. Harker’s third album, it’s by far their most ambitious and fully realised work to date, and the first to feature guitarist Louis May joining the established line up of Boniface, Phoebe Saunders (bass) and Matt Claxton (drums). Recorded in their hometown at the Levellers’ Metway Studio, the album captures a band pushing their sound forward while staying rooted in the raw honesty that defines them.
To celebrate the release, Harker will tour the UK this autumn, bringing their cathartic and high-energy live show to stages across the country.
Rooted in Brighton’s DIY ethos, Harker channel the grit of Dischord Records and the fuzz-drenched warmth of ’90s indie rock, fusing it with the melodic bite of Superchunk, Against Me!, and The Replacements. ‘Redacted’ and ‘I Ruin Everything’ showcase their knack for heartfelt hooks and urgent, melodic punk that hits straight to the chest. These are songs built to be screamed back at the band in packed rooms and festival fields alike—cathartic, defiant, and deeply human. Since forming in 2015, Harker have toured relentlessly across the UK, Europe, the US (where they played at The Fest just last year) and Japan. What began as Mark Boniface’s solo project playing house shows and tiny venues has evolved into one of the UK’s most melodic and emotionally resonant punk acts—louder, bolder, and more alive than ever.
