Stealing Handshakes are set to release their six-track self- titled EP this Friday, April 24th — a release that captures exactly who they are, where they’ve been, and where they’re headed.
Hailing from Pampa, Texas (USA), the four-piece alternative rock band pulls from the raw, unfiltered spirit of ’90s alt-rock while pushing it forward with a sharper, modern edge.2
There’s grit in the guitars, weight in the lyrics, and a sense of urgency that runs through every track. It’s the kind of sound that doesn’t try to be perfect—it just needs to be real.
This self-titled EP is tight, deliberate, and unapologetically honest. Across six tracks, Stealing Handshakes lean into heavy ri s, memorable hooks, and emotionally charged songwriting that hits without overcomplicating the message. It builds on the foundation
they’ve already laid while making it clear they’re not standing still. That momentum has been building. The band has earned finalist honors at the LHUCA Battle of the Bands and took the win at the City of Borger’s Boomtober Battle of the Bands, while sharing stages with artists like Kansas, Hed PE, Horizon Theory, and A Skylit Drive.
Festival appearances at Pampafest and 1887 Fest, along with consistent airplay on Rock 108 Amarillo, have only strengthened their growing presence.
The EP was written entirely by the band, with all songs composed and lyrics handled in- house. The self-titled EP was produced by Matt Jackson, mixed by Nick Hawner (Post Profit), and mastered by Gene “Machine” Freeman (Clutch, Fall Out Boy, Lamb of God). No AI was used in writing, recording, production, or creation.
With this release, Stealing Handshakes aren’t just introducing themselves—they’re making a statement. The self-titled EP arrives on all major streaming platforms on April 24th.
