VENUS GRRRLS harness the power of a bisexual awakening with driving, forthright new single ‘Eve’, released today via Killabop. It’s a pulsating track, fueled by intense yearning, which builds through an evocative vocal to a veritable explosion of angular grunge riffage. Stay tuned for the music video, which will be released later this week.

Vocalist GK says: “Eve was written after our guitarist had a bi panic crash out over Gillian Anderson. With the use of industrial textures juxtaposed with lush guitars and synths, we wanted to really communicate the duality of a bisexual awakening, and how it is as much a beautiful thing as it is turbulent. It was deeply important for us to write a song that conveyed true romantic attraction towards women rather than a platonic appreciation. They are entirely different, which is a pivotal message to the song. Eve is the love child of Nine Inch Nails and Fleetwood Mac, that grew up to be deeply passionate about women.”

‘Eve’ follows the unfiltered feminine rage of VENUS GRRRLS’ previous single ‘3×3’, which was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. Kerrang! heralded it an “exhilarating new single” and Rock Sound lauded the cut as “modern grunge at its finest”. BBC Radio 1 spun the track on The Indie Show and Introducing Rock and now they’ve even announced the band on the line-up for their Big Weekend in Sunderland in May. VENUS GRRRLS exploded into 2026, armed with ‘3×3’ and playing shows with the likes of Nova Twins and Tigercub. Now they’re looking ahead to massive events such as the Big Weekend, as well as Rock For People in Czechia 2000trees Festival in the UK.

ABOUT VENUS GRRRLS:

VENUS GRRRLS are the northern alt-rock coven of your dreams. Based between Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool, the five-piece weave goth-grunge intensity with evocative, otherworldly storytelling and, as a result, their music is both poetic and powerful.

An ethereal force to be reckoned with on the live stage, VENUS GRRRLS have toured with the likes of SPRINTS and Nova Twins, as well as casting their spell at their own sold-out headline shows and illustrious events such as Liverpool’s Sound City, Kendall Calling, Y Not, Isle Of Wight, 2000trees, Download and Reading & Leeds. Expanding their coven internationally in 2025, VENUS GRRRLS played SXSW in the US and Block Party in France.

2026 is shaping up to be another formative year in the VENUS GRRRLS canon as they kicked it off with the mammoth earworm, grunge-up riffage of ‘3×3’, the inaugural release of new British indie Killabop. They have already toured with the mighty Nova Twins, played a big London show with Tigercub, and are looking ahead to a Spring and Summer that are STACKED. They’ll be heading to the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Sunderland after receiving support from BBC Introducing and the Radio 1 Indie Show for ‘3×3’, playing at Rock For People in Czechia and gracing the stage at 2000trees Festival once more, amongst various other dates.

VENUS GRRRLS’ efforts to date have received radio recognition from tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists and Selector Radio host Sian Eleri, BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Iggy Pop to name a few. Due to the whirlwind nature of the band’s momentum, VENUS GRRRLS achieved equally impressive press acclaim from the likes of Kerrang!, Guitar World, The Independent, CLASH, Upset, Rock Sound and more. They have also been spotlighted by 101 Part Times Jobs Podcast, ITV Calendar and BBC Look North. In moves that speak to their personal experience, VENUS GRRRLS align their artistry with impact. For their 2024 headline tour, the band partnered with stem cell transplant charity Anthony Nolan to raise awareness of stem cell donation. Last year, GK appeared in a short film by Teenage Cancer Trust before the band’s performance at the charity’s fundraising event.

VENUS GRRRLS are GK/Grace Kelly (lead singer/rhythm guitarist), Hannah Barraclough (Bass), Eliza Lee (lead guitar), Grace Stubbings (synth) and Alannagh Doherty (drums).
