Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 – Evil Island have released their debut single “Tiger Baby”, out now via Blowed Out Records alongside an official music video. The band brings together Johnny Whitney, Cody Votolato and Mark Gajadhar of The Blood Brothers alongside Autry Fulbright of OFF! and …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. “Tiger Baby” marks the first official release from the new project and arrives following a limited run of 300 hand-signed 7-inch vinyl copies selling out in under six hours upon pre-order launch last month. The pressing included an exclusive B-side that remains unavailable on streaming platforms for now. Fans can stream ‘Tiger Baby’ now HERE and watch the accompanying music video HERE or by clicking the thumbnail below. Produced by Ross Robinson, “Tiger Baby” is the first release from sessions that saw the legendary producer reunite with the members of The Blood Brothers having produced their seminal album, 2003’s ‘Burn, Piano Island, Burn’, which helped define a generation of underground music. Across five months in the studio, Evil Island and Robinson built something instinctive and unpredictable, driven by the same creative urgency that brought them together in the first place. Speaking on today’s single release, Evil Island frontman, Johnny Whitney shares “We chose Tiger Baby for the first single from our new record because it’s kind of like the everything bagel of songs from the session. It’s heavy and crazy and chaotic but also very catchy and hooky which is very much what the entire record sounds like all baked into one song.” For Robinson, the project represents a long-awaited return to a cherished creative partnership. He comments “This is a record I’ve wanted to make for way too long, ever since signing and producing the Bloodbrothers “Burn Piano Island, Burn” .. I feel Evil Island is the coolest fucking band on earth and dare anyone to step up to the unleashing fire these guys throw down- they’re the king of kings .. I can’t believe we got to make this thing, it’s an artistic/emotionally violent dream come true for me!” |
