NASHVILLE, TN. – 16x ACM, 12x CMA and Grammy Award-winner Lainey Wilson’s new song, “Can’t Sit Still”, is out today via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Listen/share HERE.
Written by Wilson, Trannie Anderson, Aslan Freeman and Dallas Wilson, “Can’t Sit Still” is a snapshot of Wilson’s life as an unstoppable global superstar. Filled with restless energy, the track arrives during a period of non-stop activity for Wilson, as she makes her film acting debut in Universal’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him (out today), was recently selected as one of USA Today’s 2026 Women of the Year, and is the subject of a new in-depth documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, set for release 22nd April on Netflix, following its premiere at SXSW next week. Wilson will also perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday, March 26, where she is nominated for Country Artist of the Year and Favorite Tour Tradition.
An electric live performer, Wilson just wrapped the final leg of her extensive Whirlwind World Tour and will continue to tour through this summer including headline sets at Stagecoach, JazzFest and Windy City Smokeout as well as select US stadium dates with Chris Stapleton.
“The reigning current standard-bearer for women in country” (Variety), Wilson is in the midst of yet another monumental year. This past autumn, she hosted the 59th CMA Awards (the first solo female host since Reba McEntire in 1991), where she also won three awards: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (Whirlwind). She also released the deluxe version of her acclaimed album, Whirlwind, in August, which features five additional tracks, including her #1 single, “Somewhere Over Laredo”.
The Grand Ole Opry member is a prolific, sought-after songwriter, who has scored nine #1 hits including “4x4xU”, “Wildflowers And Wild Horses”, “Watermelon Moonshine” and the 2x PLATINUM Certified “Heart Like A Truck”, in addition to award-winning collaborations with Cole Swindell (“Never Say Never”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”) and HARDY (“wait in the truck”). Moreover, Wilson has collaborated with artists such as Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton and Post Malone, made her acting debut in Paramount’s hit television series, “Yellowstone”, and recently launched her fifth collection with Wrangler, as well as her own boot (Golden West Boots) and jewellery lines (The Lainey Wilson Jewelry Collection).
