Leaning into love, family and memory, True South is the ACM Award winner’s long-awaited follow-up to his 2019’s Caught Up In The Country. Cementing his status as a tried-and-true family man, the East Tennessee native serves up relatable odes to marriage and parenting as he details small town life with wife Rose Falcon and his three sons. Additionally, the 12-song collection delivers the ultimate southern soundtrack with Atkins’ rural upbringing at the forefront of his cleverly crafted lyrics.

Advising listeners to savor moments with their children, especially while they’re little, Atkins speaks from experience as he watches his own three boys grow up far too fast. ‘The Years Are Short’ was written by Casey Beathard and Monty Criswell; and produced by Ted Hewitt, Brandon Hood and Atkins.
