Born from four years of creative and personal reinvention, Florida band Nevertel have refined their sonic formula with razor-sharp precision on their new album ‘Start Again’. Consisting of Jeremy Michael (vocals), Raul Lopez (producer/rapper) and Alec Davis (guitar), the trio’s 13-track opus weaves a visceral narrative of self-destruction and redemption, seamlessly blending nostalgic nu-metal, rap and alt-rock into a genre defying sound of today.
Recorded in sessions across Los Angeles, Nashville, Memphis and their home state of Florida, the making of Nevertel’s new album marks a significant shift for the band. Internally produced with Raul Lopez at the reigns, they also worked with outside collaborators for the first time, including Joshua Landry, Dave Cowell (Sleep Theory) and Gianni Taylor (Bring Me The Horizon). Coming from a DIY background, the band found the experience to be a valuable learning opportunity that helped them grow as musicians. A key aspect of this collaboration was an unconventional songwriting approach, where sessions began with conversations rather than music. This allowed the band to explore deeper themes and lyrics, resulting in a more nuanced listening experience. As they reflected on their triumphs and failures, their personal experiences, their shared childhood, and this chance at a new beginning, the songs that would be Start Again grew to reflect the band members’ personal growth and shared self-improvement journey.
Nevertel were united in 2014 by an unbreakable bond and a shared passion for music. Leading with an emphasis in quality in everything they do, they currently sustain over 160 million catalog streams and continue to build on their online community of over 600K social media followers. After independently releasing multiple albums, EPs and singles, they signed to Epitaph Records in 2024 and saw another dream become reality. Now with their new album Start Again, the band are on a mission to inspire other people to make great changes in their lives.
