A group of teenagers making music is nothing new. A band of teenagers making gripping straight edge melodic metalcore in 2025 is something to keep an eye on. Based out of Minneapolis, xSERAPHx made an impactful debut earlier this year with a three song demo released through The Coming Strife that attracted attention from hardcore and metal fans around the globe. Now the band team up with DAZE and Ephyra to release a two song promo – In Certainty / New Life Transcribed.
Originally coming together through skateboarding, xSERAPHx are making music that they love inspired by early 2000s metalcore bands like 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Hamartia, and Misery Signals, aiming to revive positivity and community within their scene. “In Certainty” and “New Life Transcribed” are tracks created for change, but also mosh fuel. Vocals move from frenzied screams to impassioned shouts as heavy driven rhythms balance more sullen melodies.
