“Alone is a song about just that, being alone. It’s an admission of the self destructive behaviours I often lean on to survive, but which ultimately have left me feeling isolated and hopeless at times. There is positivity there, things are being worked on, but there is no resolution yet. Perhaps the song is a window, the curtains being drawn back to let in some light to the darker parts of myself. It says: “I am aware of my shortcomings”, and yet it offers no answers.”
