ABOUT ROMAN CANDLE
ROMAN CANDLE are a visceral and emotionally charged hardcore band from Las Vegas, Nevada, built around the creative core of Piper Ferrari (vocals) and Jonas Vece (guitar). Emerging from the ashes of their former project sowithout., the two formed ROMAN CANDLE with a vision to push the boundaries of hardcore through vulnerability, intensity, and intentionality.
Rooted in the lineage of bands like Saetia, Touché Amoré, and Poison the Well, ROMAN CANDLE blends classic screamo sensibilities with a modern edge—balancing raw catharsis and poetic tension. Their 2022 debut EP Discount Fireworks marked them as a standout in the Las Vegas underground. After spending much of 2023 & 2024 showcasing their new material live, the band’s reputation for emotionally resonant, tightly wound songs that leave nothing on the table was further cemented. The band also spent a considerable amount of time on the road with bands like Dying Wish, Boundaries, Militare Gun, Foreign Hands, Pool Kids and one off shows with Touche Amore, Botch, Better Lovers and more.
Known for fiercely passionate live performances, ROMAN CANDLE has become a vital voice in the evolving Las Vegas hardcore scene. As a femme-fronted band, Piper Ferrari brings a rare and welcome presence to the genre, challenging norms and creating space for a more inclusive scene. Alongside Jonas Vece’s cutting guitar work and atmospheric tension, the band captures a sense of urgency that’s both deeply personal and powerfully collective.
