Independent active rock band Set It Off has dropped furious new song ‘Pathological’, taken from their upcoming self-titled album. Off the back of US radio success with ‘Punching Bag’, ‘Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing [REBORN]’ and ‘Rotten’ comes ‘Pathological’ – a seething, riff-and-rap-filled retort to those who’ve lied, bluffed and faked their way through life. “It’s unfortunate – the number of people I’ve come across in my lifetime that feel the need to make stuff up all the time because they feel like their current life isn’t exciting enough,” vocalist Cody Carson explains. “At first they seem like little white lies that just embellish somebody’s stories, but as they get away with it, they realise they can lie all the time. Then, it gets out of hand – because it always does – and it ruins their life. This song is my response to the handfuls of people I’ve met who took advantage of my kindness in order to get ahead.” “I don’t have to name names, because everybody else already knows…” LISTEN TO ‘PATHOLOGICAL’ NOW ‘Pathological’ is the opening track of the band’s upcoming self-titled album – their first since 2022’s ‘Elsewhere’ and the debut full-length of the band’s new, independent era. Already a multi-million streaming and global touring band, taking their future into their own hands and putting out music on their own has seen Cody, drummer Maxx Danziger and guitarist Zach DeWall scale the heights of rock radio for the first time and play conversation-starting sets at DWP festivals. The self-titled record finds the band at their heaviest and most rage-filled yet. One of the hardest-working bands in rock is back. And they’re mad. SET IT OFF – S/T
