Of the record’s lead single, “Perpetual Punishment,” Stereogum accurately championed, “great music for headbutting all your best friends.” Elsewhere, Decibel Magazine notes, “Process… leans deep into the snarl and gnarl of their previous work to produce a vicious, bloodthirsty thrash record that is more Demolition Hammer, Kreator, or Sodom than it is crossover like D.R.I. or Crumbsuckers.” Rock Hard Germany writes, “After a short acoustic intro at the beginning of ‘Perpetual Punishment,’ DEAD HEAT open their third album with the sensitivity of an orbital sander. The Californian five-piece’s crossover hardcore thrash is beautifully raucous, its raw style repeatedly reminiscent of their Texan colleagues Power Trip.” Mystification ’Zine hails a “harder, meaner and louder” era of DEAD HEAT while Fuze confirms, “The songs are raw and uncompromising, yet catchy and instantly recognizable. DEAD HEAT manages to combine heaviness and hooks in such a way that their tracks not only work in the mosh pit but also stick in the mind.” Adds Transcended Music, “If you‘re into riffs, Process Of Elimination is pure riff city.”
Comments vocalist Chris Ramos on today‘s single, “’The Order‘ is about knowing your place in line when it comes to things. Just because you‘re given something, doesn‘t mean you always earn it and when it comes to that, real recognizes real. Some people all they do is leech off others and use them just to benefit themselves and break away later. Always know there‘s an order to things and if you don‘t follow you don‘t need to be around.”
