Riff-Hearty Heavy Metallers SYNCOLIMA Share Roaring New LP “Move Mountains” +  Video For “Mistakes Were Made”

Derbyshire heavy metallers SYNCOLIMA have shared their roaring, riffy third LP Move Mountains today (5th Sept), alongside a riotous music video, filmed and directed by Electric Bear Studios, for the album’s raucous release single, “Mistakes Were Made“.

The album’s third single following “Shipwrecked” and “Black Dog & The Bleak Sky” across 2025, “Mistakes Were Made” taps into the more reserved and melodic edge of SYNCOLIMA‘s dynamic sound, whilst not shedding the stonery, attitude-laden heavy metal sound that the band are known for.

Spread across a keen and rowdy spectrum of stoner rock, grunge and heavy metal, Move Mountains is lovingly composed of influences, both classic and modern, that make for something that appeals to all manner of folk who like it loud.

SYNCOLIMA 2025

Whether it’s the arid, desert rock-esque essence of “Gluten Free Toast“, the hyper-aggression of “Kill All Billionaires“, or the aforementioned melodic brilliance of “Mistakes Were Made“, Move Mountains is a visceral slice of modern heavy metal that is every part classic as it is vital and fresh.

With groove, attitude and ferocity in spades, SYNCOLIMA‘s electrifying and dynamic sound on Move Mountains is an urgent and equally a bold step forward for its sound, as well as an adoring love letter to its influences.

The release of Move Mountains will also be supported by an album release show on 6th September at Nottingham’s legendary Billy Bootleggers, with support from Kraken WakerHronn and Smoke Over Elsewhere. You can view the event’s official poster below, and find tickets here.

ABOUT

Formed in February 2021, SYNCOLIMA wasted no time — within 4 months, they had written the 10-track debut Where The End Meets The Beginning, recorded at Arch Studios, Nottinghamshire.

Born out of frustration and two years of silence, the record was a fierce release — pure groove, grit, and heart.

In 2022, the band returned to the studio — this time at Electric Bear Studios — to begin work on album two. Released in April 2023, Wavelengths built on the foundation of their debut, with harder riffs, deeper grooves, and rawer emotion.

Now, in 2025, SYNCOLIMA is locked and loaded. With their third album, Move Mountains, complete, the band continues to evolve their sound—driven by drummer Harry’s dynamic influence behind the kit and a sharper, more deliberate approach to songwriting. Lyrically, the new record tackles the state of the world today: the impact of social media on society, and the mental health struggles that come with being human in 2025.

Combining the groove of stoner rock, the angst of grunge, and the power of the riff, SYNCOLIMA is an unstoppable force of heaviness, hooks, and heart.
