Photo Credit: Philip Shum grandson’s ‘INERTIA’ era is seeing him using the raw power of riff-heavy rap to focus attention on issues such as a new wave of facism, a rise in misogyny, an assault on queer rights and the Palestinian solidarity movement. His recent tracks‘BRAINROT’, ‘SELF IMMOLATION’ and ‘GOD IS AN ANIMAL’ have been rampant rallying cries for justice, which take on an incendiary intensity in the live arena. This was underlined when he headlined Glastonbury’s activism and debate hub the Left Field Stage for a set which Louder Than War described as a “revelation… have taken Rage Against The Machine’s heavy duty funk crank into a new space that confronts the chaos of the now.” Now grandson announces that he will follow the September 5th release of his new album ‘INERTIA’ by embarking upon an extensive UK and European headline tour in 2026. The record’s maximalist sound is inspired by his realisation that fans seek catharsis at his shows, finding optimism in a like-minded community and to channel their pain and hopelessness into something meaningful. grandson, real name Jordan Benjamin, says, “The moment I’ve been waiting 2 years for since the last headline tour ended is finally here- we are bringing the resistance back to Europe. This is one gig where you can be yourself and lose yourself- not just in the music, but in the collective spirit of a thousand other souls who stand for what you stand for all rising up at once and saying. “We’re not gonna take this shit anymore”. When the lights go down and the first note hits it’s going to be mayhem. Can’t wait…” Tickets for the tour will go on general sale HERE from 10am BST / 11am CET on Friday, September 5th. Pinkshift will support at all dates from Munich to Hamburg, before rejoining the tour at Milan through to the final date in Glasgow. VOWER will support from Warsaw through to Zagreb.
