After nearly a decade as an independent artist, Nashville-based pop-punk favorite Taylor Acorn officially signed to Fearless Records last month—marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Unapologetic and empowered, Acorn now announces her long-awaited debut album, Poster Child, arriving October 24, 2025.
Pre-orders available – HERE.

Following the lead single Goodbye, Good Riddance—which solidified her as one of pop-punk’s most exciting and authentic rising voices—Acorn returns with Hangman, an electric guitar-driven anthem laced with melancholy undertones. It’s Acorn at her best: delivering cathartic, relatable stories that hit as hard emotionally as they do sonically.

On the track Acorn shares, The idea of ‘Hangman’ came about during a time when, even though everything in my life was going well, I felt emotionally stuck—like the universe was playing a weird game with me.  I’d be having the best day, and then boom—my car battery dies. One time, I literally looked up at the sky and yelled, ‘Oh, come on!’ I think a lot of us feel that way sometimes. Why can’t we move on from a relationship or situation that no longer suits us? I imagined the universe playing hangman as this fun visual—despite how emotional the song feels. It’s a different little spin on being down on your luck and trying to move forward.”

Known for channelling the raw spirit of late-’90s and early-2000s pop-punk, Acorn puts a modern stamp on the genre that shaped her—bridging the emotional bite of Avril Lavigne with the anthemic fire of Paramore. She’s proving that emo was never just a phase, ushering in a new era of emotionally charged, high-energy punk-pop for a new generation.

Her sound hasn’t gone unnoticed: Acorn has been championed across all major streaming platforms for her fearless mix of pop-punk, alt, and rock.

On Apple Music, she earned a banner feature under Punk for her EP, and landed placements on flagship playlists like Relationship GoalsWorking From HomeFeeling BlueExcited, and New Music Daily, as well as genre-specific lists like New in AlternativeThe New Rock, and New in Punk. Over on Spotify, she’s been spotlighted in playlists like, Pop Punk’s Not DeadNew NoiseWomen of Rock, and Fierce Femmes.

Amazon Music has also shown major support, featuring her on Breakthrough PopBreakthrough AlternativeFresh Alternative, and Pop Culture, while Pandora highlighted her in their Pop Punk spotlight.

Taylor Acorn Bio

In order to make it in the music industry, you don’t just need talent, you also need to possess a consuming desire to perform that’s ingrained in your DNA. That’s especially true for Taylor Acorn, who has made bold sacrifices in order to pursue her musical dreams. Acorn became interested in performing as a teenager living in Northern Pennsylvania where she started her first pop-punk band and began performing as a solo artist. However her career breakthrough came when she relocated to Nashville in 2014 and connected with producer Dan Swank (All Time Low, Cassadee Pope) and the duo instantly bonded over their mutual love of early 2000s pop-punk.

If Acorn’s 2024 full-length Survival In Motion was her introduction to the world, 2025’s Poster Child shows that she is here to stay—and it also marks the fact that she has signed with Fearless Records after nine years of releasing her music independently. “When people listen to this album I just want them to feel like they’re back in a time period that makes them feel good,” she says. That sense of optimism is evident from the infectious opener “People Pleaser” to the stripped-down outro of the album closer “Masquerade,” the latter of which showcases the way Acorn is able to effortlessly express both power and vulnerability with her voice, depending on the feeling that she is trying to articulate in the moment.

Taylor Acorn’s album, Poster Child, out the 24th October 2025 via Fearless Records. Pre-orders available – HERE.

PRAISE FOR TAYLOR ACORN

“Taylor Acorn’s debut album, Survival In Motion, is a testament to inner strength. Brought up by early ’90s and 2000s pop punk, the Nashville-based singer is making her own mark on the genre that raised her through bold vulnerability, a strong sense of self, and wide-eyed ambition. Undoubtedly indebted to Avril Lavigne and Amy Lee, Acorn’s soaring voice on the title track launches the LP on an impressive note.”
– Alternative Press

“Driven by melody and a desire for catharsis, from starting out in the country scene through her evolution into a pop-punk artist, a throughline of candidness has bound everything the 30-year-old creates.”
– Rock Sound

“Following the success of her previous singles, ‘Greener’ and ‘High Horse,’ [‘Survival In Motion’] is a riotous and powerful offering with edgy guitar riffs, high-octane percussion patterns, and poignant lyrics delivered by rich vocals…”
– Ones To Watch

“With a sound that channels the grit of Avril Lavigne and the anthemic power of Paramore, ‘Goodbye, Good Riddance’ blends attitude, emotion, and high-octane instrumentation into a stadium-sized roar.”
– The Daily Music Report

“one of pop punk’s most authentic and exciting rising stars.”
-Melodic Mag

“The powerhouse vocals, crisp songwriting, and the overall feeling of good vibes coming through the speakers washed over me from the opening notes all the way to the dramatic conclusion of the album.”
