PRAISE FOR THEIR DEBUT ALBUM:
“The standout Go (Hold On Tight) moves in slinky fashion before unfurling a gigantic, irresistible chorus; You’re A Chameleon channels Suede and the closing Falling Through takes almost seven minutes to tell its beguiling tale, as Donny McCaslin’s saxophone wails appealingly in the background. There’s more to come here, hopefully.” (★★★★) MOJO“All killer. All star.” (★★★★) RNR Magazine“Merges classic rock, art rock, and powerful melodies/harmonies. It features many David Bowie collaborators including guitarists Earl Slick and Mark Plati. ‘Should’ve Known Better’ rockets to catchy heights. ‘Go (Hold on Tight)’ spotlights Plati’s baritone guitar and notably reflects Bowie’s experimental bent. ‘Feel It’ is a resonant rocker.” –VINTAGE GUITAR“Their sound is distinctively Bowiesque: crunchy power chords leading the way into a supremely catchy tune whose infectious hook will immediately have fans finding parallels with their late idol.” – Louder Than War

“Impeccable musicianship.” – Music Connection

In March of this year, the critically acclaimed KillerStar returned to London’s famed 100 Club for two sold-out shows with a band full of the late, great David Bowie’s most trusted collaborators. As calls for “one more song!” echoed around the room, the band fired up a storming rendition of the T-Rex classic ‘Children of the Revolution’. Now KillerStar commemorate that moment by releasing the live recording and accompanying video of that moment. Listen HERE.

KillerStar vocalist and guitarist Robert Fleming leads the band through an expansive and muscular twist on the defining glam-rock hit, his voice also helping to give this take a different flavour to the original. Everyone plays a part in giving the song fresh heft, from searing lead guitar from Earl Slick (guitarist on Bowie’s ‘Young Americans’‘Station To Station’ and more) to a classic psych-rock solo from pianist Mike Garson (featured on numerous Bowie records from ‘Aladdin Sane’ to ‘Hours’), and a thunderous finale from KillerStar drummer and co-founder James Sedge.

The performance was completed by bassist Mark Plati (co-producer of Bowie’s ‘Earthling), guitarist Kevin Armstrong (BowieTin Machine), keyboardist Dom Beken (Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets), saxophonist Simon Bates (Elvis Costello), and backing vocals from Gail Windrass and Simone Browne (whose combined credits include Elton JohnBenjamin Clementine and Joss Stone).

Robert Fleming says, “The atmosphere was electric for our two live shows at The 100 Club.  They were special nights!  After playing our set of original material we thought it would be  great to play an encore of this T-Rex classic song ‘Children Of The Revolution’.  It was a thrill to have long-time David Bowie band members reunited on stage together for the KillerStar set and this T-Rex tune.”

KillerStar first played The 100 Club in 2024, shortly after the release of their debut album, and much of that show was documented in the recent ‘Live At The 100 Club’ record. The set was hailed as “a revelation” by RnR while the Maggiore On Bowie blog stated, “These guys don’t just seem to be on fire, they are on fire.”

Robert Fleming and James Sedge have recently been in Metropolis Record in London working on the second KillerStar studio album. Their collaborators so far have included Earl SlickMike Garson and producer Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers).
