Destined For Doom Shares Brutal EP ‘Vicious Cycles’
Destined For Doom Shares Brutal EP ViciousCycles, Shares Title-Track featuring Saving Vice’s Tyler Small
Salem, MA — Modern metal project, Destined For Doom, are sharing their powerhouse new EP, Vicious Cycles on June 6. Alongside this release comes the title-track featuring Saving Vice’s, Tyler Small. Vicious Cycles showcases singles “Echo Chamber” and “Vindictive.”
“Vicious Cycles” shines a light on the band’s harder sound while peppering in ear catching clean vocals. The band embraces their genre bending capabilities, modernizing their death-core undertones.
““Vicious Cycles” is the sister song to the first track on the EP Hellhounds and is a different approach to the song instrumentally, lyrically it’s about being trapped with your own thoughts and how it feels like it’s never ending, and myself and Tyler Small who helped write the chorus wanted it to capture that “trapped or stuck feeling” and also being catchy and the title viscous cycle’s actually comes up in hellhounds and that’s why it felt right to have it be the name of the ep since it’s referenced in other songs.” – Trent Wilson, lead vocalist.
“I feel like there’s something for everyone on this EP. There’s the heavy in your face tracks like “Hellhounds,” “Vindictive” and “Echo Chamber.” Where “Viscous Cycles” and “No Chances for Goodbyes” are more melodic and there’s a lot of emotion in the lyrics going into toxic relationships with “Vindictive,” and grief with “No Chances For Goodbyes” and the battles with depression I’ve gone through. I believe a lot of people will relate to the lyrics.” – Destined For Doom
