Following the anthemic hope of debut single “My America,” StarAce shift into darker, swaggering territory with “When The Light Has Gone,” a hypnotic shuffle that channels heartbreak through a haze of syncopated, seductive elegance. Described by the band as “an outrage with class,” the track fuses the unruly spirit of early rockabilly and gypsy jazz with their signature rock ’n’ roll roots. In singer/guitarist Julio’s words “Imagine Post Pop Depression-era Iggy Pop jamming with Django Reinhardt in a smoky backroom bar.”

Driven by theatrical swing, jagged edges, and vivid storytelling, “When The Light Has Gone” tells the story of love lost—and the strange, lucid clarity that follows. It’s a song about letting go, without losing the joy of what once was.
