Columbus native DOOBIE has quickly become one of the most prominent independent artists in the underground hip-hop scene, earning the reputation of “hip-hop’s Kurt Cobain.” His breakout single “When the Drugs Don’t Work” surpassed 115 million views on YouTube and has earned a platinum certification, marking a major milestone for the independent artist. Doobie’s rise has been steadfastly built from the ground up. His music has always been influenced by rock, drawing inspiration from bands like Alice In Chains, Nirvana, and Metallica.

His debut rock album Give ‘Em Hell Until You Get to Heaven. It arrives May 30 via ONErpm. Pre-order it here.

“Listening to ‘Stone Cold’ is an alternative way to punching a hole in your wall when you’re angry — a song  to give your frustration an outlet,” shares Doobie.

Hawkins concurs, saying, “‘Stone Cold’ is the musical equivalent to spilling cocaine in your cheerios. It’s like a temper tantrum, but still sweet and catchy as hell. This banger may be called ‘Stone Cold,’ but it’s got some HEAT!”

In late 2024, Doobie dropped his first proper rock single: “Early Bird Gets the Whiskey.” He kicked the door to 2025 open with another rock anthem — “Worth a Shot.” The song hit #29 on Mediabase’s Active Rock Chart and Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Charts, with SiriusXM’s Octane added into accelerator rotation. The album features a guest appearances from Yelawolf and former Saliva singer Josey Scott. There’s also a cover of Danzig’s “Mother.”

Doobie has also announced an incredible partnership with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Nick Leitz for the Tennessee Lottery 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on May 31.

“It honestly feels like a dream to be teaming up with NASCAR Driver Nick Leitz in the Xfinity series,” said Doobie. “From growing up rooting for Dale Earnhardt Jr. to watching Nick Leitz race a car with my own face on it, this is something I’ll cherish forever!”

Leitz shares the enthusiasm, saying, “It’s awesome that I get to help Doobie launch his latest album by partnering with him at Nashville. I’ll definitely be using some of his tracks for pump-up music before the race.”

The Tennessee Lottery 250 (188 laps | 250.04 miles) is the 14th of 33 NASCAR Xfinity Series races on the 2025 schedule. Practice starts on Saturday, May 31 at 2:05 p.m. followed immediately by qualifying. The field is set to take the green flag that evening at 7:30pm, with live coverage on The CW, the Performance Racing Network (Radio), and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90. All times are Eastern Daylight Time.

Revolver will also be partnering with Doobie and NASCAR to promote the race!

About the album, Doobie offers,”Give ‘Em Hell Until You Get to Heaven is about me unapologetically killing my own ego and being my true self.”

He continues, “It’s about not being afraid of what people are going to think about me but also not being afraid to feel better about who I am as well. I’m a man of many influences and I wanted to showcase just that. This album means so much more than words, It’s the soundtrack to my redemption!”

Throughout his career, Doobie has stayed true to his own experiences, using his music to tell his story. His battle with addiction and life struggles have shaped his lyrics, making his songs deeply personal. Avoiding typical industry collaborations, Doobie has produced most of his music himself, keeping his work as raw and reflective as possible. With his upcoming rock release and continued momentum as an independent artist, Doobie is ready to expand his legacy. Proud of how far he’s come, he sees his success as the payoff for taking the harder path and putting in the work. As the first independent artist from his city to go platinum, Doobie’s journey is just getting started.
