“Amira Elfeky is one of the fastest-rising artists in the ongoing nu-metal resurgence… Elfeky folds the dirgy alt-metal of Deftones, the melancholy goth-rock of Evanescence and the eerie doom-gaze of King Woman into her bleary-eyed sound.”
– REVOLVER
Amira Elfeky has uncovered her anxiously awaited new EP, Surrender, available now via Anemoia Records/Atlantic Records – Listen HERE. She heralds its arrival with the release of a cinematic and shuddering music video for the single ‘Forever Overdose’ – streaming now on her official YouTube channel.
About the six-track body of work, Elfeky said, “Surrender is not about defeat, it is about release. It is the moment when resistance fades, not from weakness, but from the quiet strength of trust. This EP is an exploration of the space between holding on and letting go, where memories linger and emotions bleed. Each song is a fragment of connection, of laughter, silence, and the weightless vulnerability of being truly seen. Surrender is not about loss, but about the beauty of relinquishing control, of dissolving into something greater than yourself, and of embracing the breathless uncertainty of love.”
‘Forever Overdose’ unfolds as an addictive anthem anchored by her engaging and enigmatic vocals. The single’s electronic beat brushes up against haunting intonation, and she exhales, “I got the appetite.” Reaching a sonic peak, a wave of distortion carries the track’s chorus punctuated by a plea, “Save me, you’re the one that hurts the most, my forever overdose.” However, the momentum unexpectedly turns on a dime. Glitchy synths bleed into a heavy bridge fueled by a pulsing rhythm, thrash-y riff, and Elfeky’s seismic scream.
In the accompanying visual, she stares at her reflection as an old school camcorder feeds her countenance back through a snowy television set. Evoking Blair Witch Project-style mystique, claustrophobic closeups capture the emotion of the song in between shadowy performance footage.
She paved the way for the EP with ‘Death of Me’. It has already accumulated over 1 million total streams. In its wake, Revolver declared, “Amira Elfeky is currently finding her niche by releasing a series of gauzy, heart-heavy and ultra-anthemic singles.” Not to mention, Metal Anarchy and more plugged the song. Plus, the project boasts the previously-released ‘Will You Love Me When I’m Dead’.
Check out the full tracklisting below.
Bringing Surrender around the globe. Elfeky will be on the road throughout 2025. She spends June on a festival run across the UK and Europe. In the fall, she will support Bring Me The Horizon in arenas throughout North America alongside Motionless In White and The Plot In You. The full confirmed itinerary is below.
With the EP, the Nu Metal sorceress has effectively transformed into a sonic force of nature…
She capped off a busy 2024 with the release of the ‘Will You Love Me When I’m Dead’. The hard-hitting track amassed over 6.1 million Spotify streams and 255K YouTube views on the official performance video. Right out of the gate, Revolver named it one of the “6 Best New Songs Right Now,” claiming, “Despite the dejection, the singer sounds anything but deflated. Spiritually downhearted, but sonically massive.” She also dropped an Unplugged version of the track.
She also dropped ‘Remains of Us’ with Scarlet House, which has accumulated over 2.2 million Spotify streams and counting. Upon arrival, Revolver touted it among the “6 Best New Songs Right Now,” going on to applaud how, “Amira Elfeky brings a profoundly haunted and fully mesmerizing kind of longing to her latest nu-gaze single.” ‘Remains of Us’ followed the release of her debut EP, Skin to Skin, which is highlighted by incendiary tracks like ‘Everything I Do Is For You’, ‘A Dozen Roses’ and her acclaimed major label debut single, ‘Coming Down’.
Hailed by Revolver for a “sensual sound one part Deftones’ gauzy alt-metal and one part Evanescence’s soaring goth-rock,” Celebrating Skin To Skin last year, Elfeky delivered her momentous live headline debut performance at Los Angeles, CA’s Moroccan Lounge, which was followed by a much-anticipated series of West Coast headline shows. Elfeky also embarked on a major North American tour alongside The Used and special guests Story of the Year.

ABOUT AMIRA ELFEKY:
Amira Elfeky conjures a signature sound without comparison from the crossroads of nu-metal, shoegaze, electronic, and alternative. Simultaneously, the Los Angeles-based artist has quietly asserted herself as an unapologetically honest songwriter with an immersive vision that’s both dark and dynamic in equal measure. During 2023, she pierced the mainstream with her breakout single ‘Tonight (demo)’, which amassed north of 16.6 million Spotify streams and counting. Transfixing a diehard fanbase, ‘A Dozen Roses’, ‘Coming Down’, and ‘Secrets’ preceded her 2024 debut Skin to Skin EP. The latter arrived to widespread acclaim from Revolver Magazine, New Noise Magazine, and OnesToWatch. Beyond packing headline shows, she hit the road with The Used and Story of the Year. However, her rise as the next generation’s Nu-Metal queen ramps up in earnest with last year’s ‘Will you Love Me When I’m Dead’ and more to come. Her spell is already cast…
