George Daniel today releases ‘Chlorine’ via dh2.
You can listen to ‘Chlorine’ HERE.
‘Chlorine’ is Daniel’s latest solo release and continues his journey with dh2 – the new electronic imprint he co-founded under Dirty Hit.
Following the must-attend launch of dh2 at Brixton’s Phonox, ‘Chlorine’ blends sharp electronic beats with his signature production feel; a style that has defined his work with The 1975, and collaborations with artists like Charli xcx, The Japanese House and Caroline Polachek.
‘Chlorine’ marks another step forward in Daniel’s solo career, continuing dh2’s focus on experimentation and collaboration. Speaking to The FACE, Daniel emphasised, “It’s about freedom to collaborate and experiment—working with artists I’ve admired for years but in a totally new context.”
dh2 is already delivering on this vision, with the label’s first signing, Kelly Lee Owens, making waves with her debut album on the label ‘Dreamstate’, released last month to rave reviews.
Next month will see another dh2 takeover of Brixton’s Phonox with a DJ set from Daniel, alongside Kelly Lee Owens, Oscar Farrell and Taylor Skye. You can find more info at www.dh2.co.
Daniel has been previewing his new material throughout the summer, including appearances with Charli xcx at The Levels at Glastonbury, Boiler Room New York, Ibiza’s Amnesia and The Floor with Jamie xx at Venue MOT in London.
