Ricky Gervais has today announced the first few European arena dates for his highly- anticipated, brand-new stand-up show ‘MORTALITY’.
With more 2025 European shows to be announced in due course, he today announces the first few planned dates, visiting some of Europe’s biggest capital city arenas in Portugal (Lisbon), France (Paris), Republic of Ireland (Dublin), Austria (Vienna), Norway (Oslo) and Switzerland (Zurich).
A list of the first batch of new European dates and venues for ‘Ricky Gervais: Mortality’ is below. Tickets go on general sale on Friday 11th October 2024, at 10am local time. Tickets at livenation.com.
Further dates across Europe, North American and the UK will be announced in due course, with this new tour from Gervais set to run through to the end of 2025, taking in the biggest arena venues across the globe.
Kicking off his world tour later this month, Gervais recently announced the first set of UK shows, all of which immediately sold out, as he visits 11 major UK theatre and arena venues in York, Oxford, Newcastle, Manchester, St Albans, Brighton, Nottingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Ipswich and Birmingham.
Fresh from his most recent stand-up special ‘Armageddon’ winning a Golden Globe, hitting Number 1 on Netflix and claiming the world record for the highest grossing comedy gig of all time, ‘Mortality’ will once again be filmed for Netflix.
With over 80 work-in-progress shows now under his belt this year, Gervais said, “We’re all
gonna die. May as well have a laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life.
And death. Bring it on.”
Live Nation and venue presales for the new European arena dates are on Wednesday 9th October 2024, 10am local time.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday 11th October 2024, 10am local time.
As Gervais has done with his previous tours, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity – £1.91 million was donated to worldwide animal charities at the end of his Armageddon tour in 2023.
