The history of Awake The Dreamer leads us back to 2015, when the Stockholm based melodic post-hardcore x metalcore act was formed by childhood and high school friends. Since dropping their Grow EP in 2016, the band toured all across Europe and Asia alongside bands like Ice Nine Kills, Northlane, Adept, and Crystal Lake to name a few.
In September 2019, the band dropped its debut album Damaged Souls via Arising Empire. A 10-track introduction to their style, it also included features by Adept’s Robert Ljung on “Vigilant” and Crystal Lake’s Ryo Kinoshita on “Atmosphere.”
Building on their robust musical journey, the band is set to elevate their artistic expression with the release of their upcoming album Holocene on September 27. This new album promises to deepen their exploration of intense emotions and complex themes, setting a new benchmark for their signature sound in the metal scene.
