Thessaloniki-based black metal trio Ignominous proudly announces the release of their debut album, Dawn With No Light, which is set to be released on October 4th via Vinyl Store. The title track and lead single is now streaming via Decibel Magazine, who praised the song, stating it “captures the raw, unfiltered sound that defines Ignominous—a blend of speed, intensity, and atmospheric bleakness. We have entered the eternal night, and in embracing the shadows, we find true life as the dawn with no light approaches.” Formed in 2020, Ignominous consists of seasoned musicians: bassist Anestis Nekhromancer (Terrordrome, Twilight, Obscene, Medieval), guitarist and vocalist Chris (ex-Regent), and drummer Billy Vongaar (Terrordrome, Twilight, Disembowel, Yoth Iria, Head Cleaner). Despite the challenges of the pandemic and Anestis’s severe Covid-related health issues, the band pressed on, completing eight ferocious tracks that comprise their debut album, Dawn With No Light. Recorded at Stone Studios and mastered at Suncord Studios, Dawn With No Light is a raw and relentless black metal opus, capturing the darkness and hopelessness of its creation.
