Killing Spree, the audacious duo known for their genre-defying fusion of metal and free jazz, has just released the music video for “Camouflage!”—the title track from their upcoming album, set to be released on September 13 via Klonosphere/Season of Mist. The band, featuring Matthieu Metzger (Klone, Orchestre National de Jazz, Louis Sclavis) and Grégoire Galichet (Kwoon, Deathcode Society), filmed live recordings in the historic Maginot Line tunnels, perfectly capturing the track’s essence through an absurd, funny, and oppressive chase sequence. “An energetic mix of hardcore elements and a meticulously crafted Nostromo-style passage, ‘Camouflage!’ began its journey on tour in Japan with just two riffs and a lot of improvisation,” the band shares. “It grew in stature both live and in the studio, with a groovy lull and a hard-hitting opening that’s perfect for a stadium entrance! The live recordings in the Maginot Line were also an opportunity to film a chase through these endless tunnels—absurd, funny, and oppressive at the same time.” Watch the video for “Camouflage!” here.
