BEYOND EXTINCTION “Death metal of the highest order” Kerrang! Unstoppable Essex Death metallers BEYOND EXTINCTION keep on going from strength to strength. The band’s ferocious new single, Eyes Of God, Look Down Upon Me, is out now, and you can watch the video, here – https://youtu.be/FlcdsbJovck BEYOND EXTINCTION surpass their years with the sound, image, and creative maturity that exceeds all expectations from a band of their age. For the past two years, the youthful heavyweights have effectively negotiated the early pitfalls that many new bands face, and in doing so, the self-managed riff beasts have triumphed where many have folded. The quintet’s debut EP, The Fatal Flaws of Humankind, gained critical acclaim with Kerrang!, Distorted Sound Magazine, Maximum Volume Music, Moshville, and more, all heaping much deserved praise on the band. As their profile has grown, so has their live status. Support shows with the likes of Osiah and Viscera soon followed, along with notable slots at Bloodstock Festival and Marine Metal Festival. Throughout this year, the deathcore unit have continued to destroy stages on tour. In January, the band supported Human Hell throughout the UK, and this Summer, BEYOND EXTINCTION embarked on their first ever headline tour, and it has been rampant success. After a year’s wait, BEYOND EXTINCTION now return with new material and a fresh single, Eyes Of God, Look Down Upon Me. The band remark: “This track is one of the simpler songs that we wrote during our latest creative process. We drew influence from the growing pool of deathcore that utilises elements of atmospheric and blackened metal in its creation while maintaining the crushing beatdown and raw heaviness that we love. It’s ridiculously downtuned in double drop D to create an earth-shattering sound. Lyrically, it follows the conceptual themes of all the new music we have recently written – apocalyptic and ethereal.” BEYOND EXTINCTION are in possession of a catalogue of unreleased music that offers a unique and brutal style of deathcore that will soon be presented to the hungry jaws of the UK heavy scene. For now, consume the band’s brutal new single and look out for live performances throughout the UK. |
