APOCALYPSE WHENEVER (DELUXE ALBUM) OUT NOW
LISTEN TO NEW TRACK
“LIFE JACKET”
HEADLINING TOUR STARTS OCTOBER 3RD
Los Angeles pop-rock band Bad Suns unveil their ‘Apocalypse Whenever’ Deluxe Album with three bonus tracks including brand new single, “Life Jacket” out today via Epitaph Records. Jangly alt-rock guitar riffs are met with 80’s synthwave influences and saccharine lyrics to make up this indie-pop love song that came naturally to the trio in the span of just a few hours. Front man Christo Bowman explains,
“It’s a euphoric, catchy pop tune, and that’s all there is to it. This song is the sound of us getting into a room together with some friends, with no idea of what we’re about to do… and then we just start going. I love it and I’m glad it’s finally seeing the light of day.”
‘Apocalypse Whenever (Deluxe)’ is available to stream now.

Listen To “Life Jacket”:
The 13-track album + 3 bonus tracks also include soulful PVRIS collaboration “Maybe You Saved Me,” and funky electronic remix of hit single “Life Was Easier When I Only Cared About Me” by DJ/producer Robotaki. Originally conceived as “the soundtrack to a movie that doesn’t yet exist,” the scene is set as the album’s protagonist washes up on the shores of a fictionalized LA after a near-death experience at the hands of the turbulent ocean. To fully conceptualize their story, the band did what any good director would do; assemble a mood board, filter their neo-noir version of Los Angeles through the dreamlike haziness of author Haruki Murakami, the futuristic flair of Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Blade Runner, and the lifted cinematography of Spike Jonze’s HER.
Apocalypse Whenever (Deluxe) was produced by long-time collaborator Eric Palmquist (MUTEMATH, Thrice) at his Palmquist Studios and the band’s North Hollywood rehearsal spot. It’s more conceptually rigorous than anything they’ve ever attempted – but no less compelling or accessible. “We wanted to make something very poppy and forward-looking while not abandoning the past,” front man Christo Bowman explains. “We also knew we wanted the album to have a through-line, a story from beginning to end.”
Bad Suns is Christo Bowman (vocals/guitar), Gavin Bennett (bass) and Miles Morris (drums). After forming as teenagers in 2012, the band has released 4 studio albums including 2014’s Language & Perspective, which peaked at #24 on the Billboard 200, and 2016’s Disappear Here, launching the LA-based quartet onto tours with the likes of The 1975 and Halsey, festivals like Coachella and the homepages of Alternative Press and NYLON – with the latter hailing Bad Suns as “the sort of rock that we just never get enough of.”
