ANNOUNCE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM
BETTER THAN NEVER
OUT, 23 SEPTEMBER 2022

Pre-save Better than Never here

Today, following the release of their latest singles Prisoner and Undone, Thousand Thoughts are happy to announce the release of their debut album Better than Never, out 23 September 2022. The album is available to pre-save here.

With a new band line-up and stepping foot into releasing their music independently, the band could not be happier to finally share details on their upcoming debut. Singer Ethan says: “This album represents a lot of years of pain and hardship, from self-infliction to self-defence. Blood, sweat and tears have gone into this record & we couldn’t be more proud of what we have created after a long time of dedication despite all the obstacles thrown our way. Better late than never, right?”

Having originally formed in 2017 as part of Ethan’s college music course work, the band now consists of singer Ethan Smith, guitarist Tom Caine, guitarist Will Fox and drummer Adam Field which all take the music to a more aggressive stance. The band says: “We’ve really found ourselves in recent months. We’re not the same band anymore.”

While the early days of the band had a lot more in common with the radio friendly Alt-Rock scene and despite their constantly shifting sound, the band now seems to have found themselves and allowed themselves to  open up about their own personal battles. The number one rule of Thousand Thoughts – empathy rules.

“It’s important for men to be able to open up. It’s also important for men to acknowledge other people’s mental health and feelings, not just their own,” says Will, on the band’s open stance towards talking through their emotions.

The debut album Better than Never  will be available on 23 September. Pre-save the album now here.
