The Book of Revelations release new video for Single ‘Survival of the Wittest’
‘Survival of the Wittest’ is the brand new single from the recently released progressive rock masterpiece album – The Plumes of Enceladus from The Book of Revelations.
“it is an astonishing piece of work that should kick-start a whole new generation of Classic Prog fans”
“the best Gabriel era album Genesis never made”
Glenn Williams – Upp Tone Japan
There’s been a great deal of interest in this debut album release The Book of Revelations – The Plumes of Enceladus from listeners across the globe after 2022’s digital 4 track EP release ‘The Prologue’ caused quite a stir among lovers of 1970’s Progressive Rock. Many thought that The Book of Revelations was actually an undiscovered band from the 1970’s golden era as the recordings have that vintage analog charm while the songwriting is very much in the vein of early Genesis, Yes and King Crimson. Listen for yourself!
The Book of Revelations is the musical vehicle for the prolific multi-instrumentalist, wordsmith and composer, Gerard Freeman.
The Book of Revelations fuse Rock, Orchestral and Folk music with witty lyricism, and poetry. Ludicrous time signatures and complex rhythms accompany orchestral and acoustic layers that sit beneath lyrics which dance gracefully between classical mythological references and 21st Century modernity.
Unquestionably, The Book of Revelations owe a debt of gratitude to one of the greatest proponents of progressive rock that ever drew breath, Genesis. Their sound was so wonderfully complex, beautiful, intense, interesting, and diverse, that, by osmosis, it has entered the very DNA of The Book of Revelations. From this magnificent influence and musical education, The Book of Revelations have crafted work of such complexity, humour, and rich texture that they are proud to describe as PROG ROCK.
Live Shows
The Book of Revelations have this year made several appearances at clubs and on festival stages around the country which included the recent HRH Prog 13 Festival where they masterfully performed The Plumes of Enceladus in it’s entirety to a discerning audience of prog fans who have for so long been starved of legitimate 1970’s inspired progressive rock music.
More live shows are planned throughout the summer and an appearance at the next HRH Prog Festival which will take place in Great Yarmouth this November has just been confirmed.
