South African Rock Singer-Songwriter Mark Haze Unleashes New Grandiose Rock Opus ‘Don’t Say Goodbye’
Seasoned South African Rock Singer-Songwriter Mark Haze is back with a grandiose Rock Opus called ‘Don’t Say Goodbye’. This blistering arena-style Rock Anthem showcases Mark’s wide vocal range and signature energy Rock ‘n Roll, guaranteed to have listeners and audiences singing along in full voice and on their feet!
On writing ‘Don’t Say Goodbye’, Mark shares that “The riff is one of the first I ever wrote. It was originally intended to be for my first proper band ‘12th Avenue’ but got shelved. When I started writing new music, I picked the riff up again, at the same time a friend whose father passed away contacted me to share how much this song meant to him. The song was written to encourage strength in character, to always fight on in the face of adversity, and to always push to do better, regardless of what life throws at you. Today this theme is more relevant than ever. Lyrically I also wrote this song from me, to me, to encourage myself to always stand steadfast, keep everything together, and fight on no matter what – to always push on and do better! As I also produced the track, I had to be extra stringent on myself, between playing the roles of artist and producer, to push myself to keep doing better and fight on for the desired result.”

Mark Haze “Don’t Say Goodbye”
Review By Asher Locketz
Rating 10/10
Grandiose in every sense of the word “Don’t Say Goodbye” by seasoned South African powerhouse Rock Singer-Songwriter Mark Haze is a rousing slice of tremendous song-craft that is vast in scope and panoramic in execution.
Beginning with a lilting dash of synthesiser-borne orchestration, and then exploding into what can only be described as a composition that harkens back to the grandeur of legends like Queensryche and Rush with its operatic Rock swagger and propulsive heft ‘Don’t Say Goodbye’ will have you reeling in elation!
This sweeping arena-ready piece of sonic weaponry combines orchestration, verbose percussion, sparkling leads that carry its central melody and heaving riffs into an infectious tidal wave of mammoth decadent Rock that as far as music of this sort is concerned, has yet to be paralleled.
It has been a while since I have been fortunate enough to listen to such a heavenly piece of utterly titanic Rock, and I am all the better for having been enveloped in its incandescent embrace, an embrace I will return to often!
With a superb vocal range that rivals that of the mammoth Geoff Tate, King Diamond and Geddy Lee, Mark Haze leads the proceedings herein with soaring aplomb as his searing pipes thread their way through a piece of music that will have you pumping your fists skyward in a state of euphoria.
“Don’t Say Goodbye” is the type of theatrical and colossal Arena Rock that radio craves, darn it is the type of music that I crave and dear readers it is the type of music you crave!
