OUTBREAK FEST have today announced more artists for their already stacked 2023 festival. The much respected and longtime straightedge hardcore band Bane will make their return to the festival, and their only European show with a co-headline spot with Massachusetts band Converge. Others announced today include Buggin, a band who combine aggressive grooves with playful punk energy and Boston hardcore band Defeater will be headed to the UK shores for the first time in years. Miliatrie Gun are back after their heavily lauded first performances in the UK last year, along with the shoegaze punk of Narrow Head, UK label Quality Controls T.S. Warspite & Pest Control
and finally Connecticut/Western Mass Hardcore Punk band Restraining Order and progressive hardcore band Fury OUTBREAK FEST previously announced other headliners that include the incredible Californian experimental group Death Grips, whose mix of electronica, industrial, and punk rock fused with rap and hip hop mark them as one of the most interesting groups and one of the most respected and technically dextrous MCs in rap today, Denzel Curry as headliners. He strives to be impossible to pin down musically, whether it’s collaborating with the most popular artists in hip hop to those in other realms, he blurs the borders between genres and is one of the most exciting headliners OUTBREAK FEST has ever had. ——————– 2022 aftermovie:
Fest info What started in 2011 at the Bromhall Centre in Sheffield for a few hundred people, before moving to Canal Mills in Leeds, has now grown into one of the most important independent festivals on the UK calendar for the hardcore and punk scene, holding host to fans from not just the UK but Brazil, China, Australia and more. They have held host for the likes of Turnstile, Cro-Mags, Code Orange, Gorilla Biscuits, Title Fight, Incendiary, Basement, Trapped Under Ice and many more but it is the community spirit around Outbreak Festival which makes it something special. Every person that attends year on year has been responsible for building this festival into what it is today, just as much as the bands and those who put it on. “Our aim was always to put something together to really show the diversity within the hardcore punk community. This is a festival for everyone, a place where people can feel welcomed, allowed to express themselves however they want, meet like minded people and above all have fun. This was our goal from the start and 10 years on we are still living by this.” – The organisers The 2022 event saw it sell out almost immediately and had the most incredible sets from headliners Turnstile, Knocked Loose, Deafheaven + Touché Amoré plus loads more, live podcasts, an Art & photography exhibition, Record stalls, vegan food vendors, and skateboarding. ——————– OUTBREAK FEST 2023 INFORMATION WHERE:
