Since 2018, Western Australia’s Nautical Mile have immersed listeners in an urgent and heart-on-sleeve sound, taking 00s alternative rock influence and splaying it with the best of modern day pop-punk. Nodding to the likes of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and fellow countrymen Trophy Eyes, 2019 saw the five-piece hit form at the first time of asking, with the release of debut full-length, ‘The Only Way is Through’.

Having already racked up over 1/2 million streams on Spotify, with just one album in the books, the Aussie outfit’s short term success has mirrored from record to live show, touring extensively nationwide and landing support slots with genre big hitters the likes of Hands Like Houses, Hawthorne Heights and Senses Fail.

Having spent the pandemic writing for the follow up to ‘The Only Way is Through’, Nautical Mile caught the attention of US indie/punk label Manic Kat Records, with the band’s upcoming single, the fittingly titled “Purgatory”, leading the charge with a blistering presentation of melodic alternative rock, guiding listeners through loss and grieving.

“Purgatory” (YouTube/Spotify) is out now.
