Verity White Releases ‘A Little Bit of Trouble’ and announces support date with Toyah!

‘A Little Bit Of Trouble’ has a gritty, angsty vibe which nods to Verity White’s grunge influences whilst also adding a modern twist with crunching riffs and a bouncing chorus which immediately has you singing along. Lyrically, the track is semi-autobiographical, but the subject of finding yourself in a little bit of trouble is something which we can all relate to and it is already receiving widespread airplay.

Released on WDFD Records and taken from Verity White’s second lockdown EP ‘Ungrounded’, this track is the perfect follow up to lead single ‘Strange Times’.

Of the announcement, Verity said, “I’m over the moon to be supporting Toyah – an absolute icon and someone who is constantly pushing boundaries. It’s inspiring to work with somebody who you’ve looked up to and who has always challenged ideals and forged their own path, just like I try to do! I truly cannot wait – this is going to be one special evening!”
Offering something a little different to the new rock scene, Verity White and her band are a breath of fresh air in both style, sound and approach who offer an alternative to ‘alternative rock’. Formed in 2016, Verity White and her band released ‘Too Much/Look Inside’ followed by their ‘Stripped Bare’ EP in early 2017. These releases were quickly followed by their debut album ‘Breaking Out’, of which Down The Front Media said “Her lyrics are poetic, her message inspirational and her voice is sublime”. 2019 brought the release of ‘Reclaim; Set Fire’, seeing Verity White and her band reach new audiences and impress critics. Music said “….definitely one of the most fresh and vibrant albums I’ve heard recently….”. Verity White and her band were signed to WDFD Records shortly after its release. ‘Inside Your Love’ from ‘Reclaim; Set Fire’ was chosen by Earache Records to appear on their compilation album ‘New Wave of Rock n Roll’ which was released in April 2020. June 2020 saw the release of ‘After the Storm’, a five track EP recorded during the coronavirus lockdown. ‘Ungrounded’, a second EP written and recorded during the pandemic was released in November 2020, with lead single ‘Strange Times’ gaining rave reviews.
