What the press is saying about Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s V:

“unquestionably their best so far”

Loud And Quiet

“By the end this has the feel of a magnum opus, unrelentingly ambitious with just the right amount of self-indulgence”

NME: 4*

[V has] a fully developed edge of ’70s and ’80s album-oriented rock”

NPR

“half composed of groovy, funk instrumentals and half of sun-kissed melodies”

Paste Magazine

“Nielson sounds like an artist who’s arrived at where he needs to be”

Uncut: 9/10

Following two incredible shows at The Troxy in London on Wednesday night (sold out) and last night in support of their newly-released album V, Unknown Mortal Orchestra today announce an Autumn tour of the US this October, joined by Amulets as openers. Currently on their way to Europe for a run of dates, the band will bring their acclaimed live show back to the UK for more dates later this month and have also been confirmed to play the Park Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on 23 June. New UK live dates have also been added in Southampton, Cambridge and Belfast around their headline appearance at End Of The Road Festival late August / early September. Tickets for the tour can be purchased at unknownmortalorchestra.com.

In conjunction with the tour announcement, the band shares a performance for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series that features fan favourites “Under the Sun,” “Thought Ballune,” and “Necessary Evil.” Watch Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Tiny Desk Concert and listen to V above, and see below for all of the band’s upcoming tour dates.
