Two Door Cinema Club have announced five UK headline shows to be played this summer. The Northern Irish trio will play Keele University on Thursday 29th June, Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall on Thursday 6th July, London’s Crystal Palace Park (as part of Community presents) on Friday 7th July, Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl on Sunday 9th July & Scarborough’s Spa Grand Hall on Saturday 22nd July.
Mixing guitar-driven hooks with a dancey, electronic polish, Two Door Cinema Club first gained attention with 2010’s Tourist History and classic-singles-in-waiting like What You Know, Something Good Can Work and Undercover Martyn. The album saw the band cement a global following and bonafide festival headline status across the continents as they sustained their hot streak with a hat trick of records of equal merit and success: Beacon (2012), Gameshow (2016) and False Alarm (2019); each scoring Top 10 positions in the official charts of the UK.
September 2022 saw Two Door Cinema Club release their critically acclaimed fifth studio album ‘Keep On Smiling’. Adopting a freer, more collaborative approach to the creative process it was written and produced by the band both during and coming out of lockdown, with additional production from Jacknife Lee and Dan Grech Marguerat. The record reignited the exuberance and sense of youthful abandon that originally propelled the group into the mainstream consciousness, cementing a legacy as one of the UK’s most enduring and beloved bands.
Performing to huge audiences and headlining festivals across the world, this summer Two Door Cinema Club will head to Keele University, Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall, London’s Crystal Palace Park, Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl & Scarborough’s Spa Grand Hall. Tickets go on sale Thursday 6th April at 9:00am and will be available from www.gigsandtours.com / www.ticketmaster.co.uk / www.axs.com
