TURNSTILE share the official music video for ‘NEW HEART DESIGN’, which features on their widely celebrated album ‘GLOW ON’. The video is released ahead of a big weekend of UK festival appearances for the Baltimore band. They headline Outbreak Festival on Saturday before hitting Glastonbury’s John Peel Stage at 6:30pm this Sunday.TURNSTILE will then return to the UK to headline 2000trees on July 8th.
The ‘NEW HEART DESIGN’ video was shot on 16mm film during the sold-out first leg of their widely successful ‘THE TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION TOUR’. It was directed by the band’s frontman Brendan Yates with their frequent collaborator Ian Hurdle.
‘GLOW ON’ featured prominently in end-of-year album lists on both sides of the Atlantic, with UK highlights including Kerrang! (#4), NME (#9), DIY (#10), Metal Hammer (#12), Vive Le Rock (#13), Crack (#17), The Guardian (#18), The Quietus (#93), BBC and Upset. NME’s five-star review hailed it as,“The sound of rock music stretched to its thrilling limits.”
Recorded with producer Mike Elizondo and co-produced by TURNSTILE vocalist Brendan Yates,‘GLOW ON’ finds TURNSTILE once again charting new ground for hardcore, expanding stylistic boundaries and celebrating new possibilities. ‘GLOW ON’features 15 tracks devoid of borders, boundaries, or entry obstacles, only abundant imagination, heart, and grooves plucked from all corners of the musical spectrum.
Comprised of Brendan Yates (vocals), Franz Lyons (bass/vocals), Brady Ebert (guitars), Pat McCrory (guitars) and Daniel Fang (drums), TURNSTILE’s brand of youth-minded, youth-driven hardcore punk is intent on breaking down barriers, sonically and ideologically.
