TORS SHARE NEW ALTERNATE VERSIONS OF ‘ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN’

NEW ALTERNATE VERSIONS OF ‘ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN’ RELEASED DUE TO PHENOMENAL INTEREST FROM FANS

LISTEN TO THE ACOUSTIC, A CAPELLA AND LIVE VERSIONS HERE

UK TOUR AS GUESTS TO SAM RYDER STARTS THIS MONTH

SUMMER ACOUSTIC HEADLINE TOUR ALSO CONFIRMED

Tors’ latest single promised that ‘Anything Can Happen’ and it quickly became apparent their advice could be applied to their current rise. The indie-pop trio’s teasers for the track spoke to a generation of fans, their uplifting mix of pure vocal harmonies and unguarded optimism during troubled times receiving over 5 million views at TikTok alone and almost 200,000 extra IG Followers in less than six weeks – with countless fans requesting a full-length acoustic version.

Now Tors respond to that phenomenal interest by sharing three new versions of ‘Anything Can Happen’ – an acoustic version, an a capella, and a live recording – and also announce details of an acoustic headline tour this summer. The news comes as the trio prepare to embark upon a huge tour as special guests to Sam Ryder next month. Listen HERE.

All three new alternate versions of the song see Tors’ three-part vocal harmonies taking on a celestial beauty and adding to the song’s undeniable emotional punch. The acoustic version presents a more organic alternative to the original studio recording; the a capella shows that they command an audience’s attention purely with the shared power of their voices; and the live version demonstrates that they can excel in the live arena – something that they’re now set to prove with two major upcoming tours.

‘Anything Can Happen’ is already the biggest streaming track from their EP of the same name, and the track is also their first to have reached the Germany airplay charts. Its reach is further underlined with praise from high profile fans including Elyse Meyers, Meghan Trainor, Melissa McCarthy and Ber.

Tors commented, “We had such an overwhelming response to our stripped back videos of ‘Anything Can Happen’, literally thousands of comments asking for acoustic, a Capella and live versions that we couldn’t resist releasing all three. It’s been an exciting journey to revisit the song in three different iterations from a musical and an emotional perspective and it’s challenged us to create these versions we’re truly proud of.”

Tickets for Tors’ acoustic headline tour are now available HERE. Limited tickets remain for their shows with Sam Ryder in Dublin and London, but all other dates are entirely sold-out.

Music was always going to be the vocation of Tors brothers Matt and Theo Weedon. Their grandfather, Burt Weedon OBE, was the author of the famous ‘Play In A Day’ guitar tutorial books, which inspired everyone from Paul McCartney to Mark Knopfler to learn the instrument. But their family connection gave them a personal touch beyond the books, their grandfather teaching them pieces of music to play and allowing them to enjoy his collection of guitars. And when they planned to form their own band they were joined by a drummer with a similar background, Jack Bowden, whose parents are both music teachers.

The trio have run two careers in tandem: Tors, who are reaching new peaks at present following prior shows with the likes of Tom WalkerJohn Newman and Picture This; as well as exceeding 500 million streams and hitting the Radio 1 and Radio 2 airwaves via their co-writes with artists such as Declan J Donovan and Dean Lewis. Their studio HQ is a converted barn inDevon, a creative hub and a welcome change of pace for artists visiting from other cities.
