ANNOUNCED FOR 2Q FESTIVAL SATURDAY 3RD NOVEMBER, LINCOLN
UK HEADLINE SHOWS IN OCTOBER & DECEMBER
Manchester four-piece The Slow Readers Club have released their new acoustic EP, For All Here To Observe, coinciding with their headline slot at Head For The Hills festival tonight and their headline tour this winter.
Featuring tracks spanning their entire career, from their eponymous self-titled debut album to this year’s Build A Tower, the reworked tracks were produced and mixed by Phil Bulleyment (Gaz Coombes, Dutch Uncles).
Opening with their most recent single ‘Supernatural’, the EP sheds an emotive reinterpretation on tracks including ‘I Saw A Ghost’ and ‘Forever In Your Debt’, taken from 2015’s Cavalcade, and ‘Block Out The Sun’, taken from their 2011 debut, as well as ‘Lunatic’ and ‘On The TV’ from Build A Tower, which the band have now released a new video for, filmed in the studio.
The EP comes ahead of their upcoming winter tour, which will see the band play the biggest dates of their career so far, including London’s Scala and a hometown show at Manchester’s O2 Apollo. The band have also been announced to perform at Lincoln’s 2Q Festival in November, where they play The Engine Shed with Public Service Broadcasting, as well as their headline slot at Head For The Hills festival tonight.Later this month, the band will return to Germany to play Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg after an explosive performance at Haldern Pop last month, before heading to Italy to play Kaltern Pop Festival in October.
The band are touring in support of their new album Build A Tower, which was released in May this year and went straight into the Official UK album chart top 20 at number 18, 10 in the physical album chart, 4 in the vinyl chart, 4 in the indie album chart and number 1 in the cassette chart.
The Slow Readers Club toured the UK extensively in support of the release earlier this year, which saw them sell out shows across the country including the 2,000 capacity Manchester Cathedral, within just hours of tickets going on sale, and London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
Now the band are hitting the road once again to play the most defining shows of their career yet, and with more to follow soon, The Slow Readers Club continue their unstoppable trajectory throughout 2018. The Slow Readers Club’s full tour dates can be found below:
