Birmingham-based punk-rockers, The Silver Lines, new single Skin is a tense unrelenting piece of music reflecting of the times we live in. The lyrics are deliberately ambiguous of narrative but evoke an emotional response in the listener through the use of provoking statements and repetitive phrases. The ratty riff is circular and never ending, continually driving the song. This compliments the heavy and simple back beat, allowing Skin to be a primal form of emotion.
