The Purple Lights have been taking a journey throught the twists and turns of life’s relationships.

In the new track, Lake, they re-visit past encounters. Inspiring this thoughtful and philosophical rendering and re-evaluation on how to deal with this part of life’s journey. Lake is out on 3-6-9, July 12.

In Lake the duo take a break from their normal Sabath-eque riffing, as they lean towards their more organic percussive roots. The emphasis on Akeba’s Afrobeat drumming and Rob Fincham’s emotive vocals conjure up a pop sensibility where Vampire Weekend meets Reginald Omas Mamode IVs.
