Gutsy Liverpool trio The Mysterines have shared details of their new single ‘Who’s Ur Girl?’, out November 8th. The track is the first new music to be shared since the release of their debut EP ‘Take Control’ this summer, and follows their recent support slots with Royal Blood and Sea Girls, and headline set on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading Festival this year.

The inspiration for ‘Who’s Ur Girl?’ came from David Lynch’s mystery thriller ‘Blue Velvet’, and the lyrics are based on a brief descriptive narrative of the viewer’s experience whilst watching the film, and the perspective of one of the main characters in the film, Dorothy Vallens.

‘Who’s Ur Girl?’ is filled with the unparalleled vitality that would naturally come when three adults just out their teens make music together – drenched in hooks driven by unforgiving fuzzy guitar licks. Foreboding vocals from the band’s spearhead, Lia Metcalfe, keep your curiosity on full alert, and will induce goosebumps when heard in a live environment (why they’ve already sold out their December show at Liverpool’s Jimmy’s three months in advance).

The Mysterines are Lia Metcalfe (vocals & guitar), George Favager (bass) and Chrissy Moore (drums). Named by Radio X as one of the Artists And Bands For 2019, and receiving regular support from BBC 6Music, the band will be supporting The Amazons on their November tour alongside Demob Happy.
