Hailing from from Venice (IT), The Moor were formed in the summer of 2009 by vocalist/guitarist Enrico Longhin and guitarist Davide Carraro (both ex-members of Bleed In Vain).

The band recorded their first EP during spring/summer 2010, mixing and mastering sessions took place at Studio Fredman (Sweden) with acclaimed producers Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd (In Flames, Dream Evil, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir).

Since their inception, The Moor has consistently incorporated sounds from prog rock, metal, death metal (for the guitars parts), seventies and alternative influences into their compositions making for a very compelling end product; yet all the time with a metal outlook.

Finnish label Lion Music released the first album ‘Year Of The Hunger’ in winter 2012/2013, recordings took place at Flameout Studio (Italy) while the mastering session this time took place at Fascination Street Studio with producer Jens Bögren (Devin Townsend, Amon Amarth, Katatonia…).

The band played several concerts and appeared on many festivals across the Europe. In the year 2014 Björn Strid from world acclaimed metal act Soilwork, appears in their single ‘The Castaway’.

After a sabbatical, in winter 2017 the band releases the new single with a brand new  videoclip; the song is ‘Lead The Difference’, and it’s the first track extracted from the upcoming album.

The new album ‘Jupiter’s Immigrants’ features very special guest and endorsements from artists like Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity) and Niklas Isfeldt (Dream Evil), while the band renewed the collaboration with the producer Fredrik Nordström for the mixing and mastering sessions.

Vocalist/guitarist Enrico Longhin comments on the new album:

“Jupiter’s Immigrants” came after a sabbatical period for the band, it is a completely new journey for the whole band. Thealbum was mainly composed in just two months, I trashed all the rough ideas I had before that, then focused in what was resonating inside me in that period of my life. After all the songs and riffs were written, Andrea Livieri joined the band as new guitarist and among all the good feelings we always had, his contribution was really strong; almost every song in the album was rearranged and brought up to a next level.”
