Ska-punk luminaries THE INEVITABLES are closing the book on 2021 with “Over and Out,” their appropriately titled new single. As of today, the song is available worldwide via digital service providers including Spotify and Apple Music. Also, a third pressing of their self-titled debut album is on sale now in the color variant From The Swamps of Florida (brown, blue, gold) and can be purchased here.
“It’s high energy ska with intricate parts that take you way off the oath of the usual formula of the genre,” explains drummer and songwriter Vinnie Fiorello. “Lyrically, it’s a reminder to everyone that sometimes the ending of things can be the most positive of the journey.”
Their 2020 self-titled debut album received a warm welcome from critics. Brooklyn Vegan vowed, “The album is loaded with super fun, fast, catchy ska-punk songs, as well as some cooler slower dub/reggae parts, and even though the songs all take place in a fictional universe, the songwriting is still as real and serious as these musicians have released in the past.”
The music portion of THE INEVITABLES is Vinnie Fiorello (formerly of Less Than Jake), Obi Fernandez (Westbound Train), Matt Appleton (Reel Big Fish), Billy Kottage, John DeDomenici (Jeff Rosenstock, Bomb The Music Industry), Alex Stern (Big D and the Kids Table), and Sean-Paul Pillsworth (Nightmares For A Week).
