Dashboard Confessional is celebrating over 20 years of music and records with The Best Ones of The Best One’s album. Having seen success over the years with numerous albums, this is a collection of those much-loved tracks that have built their career. Not only does this celebration include a new album, but the band will be heading out on tour to play The Places You Have Come to Fear The Most and A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar in full on certain dates. To top off this celebration in style fans can also purchase the very guitars, amps, effects pedals and more that were used to write, record, and perform nearly every album from the official Dashboard Confessional Reverb Shop. You’ll have to be quick though as only 5 items remaining!

Back to the album, and what a treat this is for fans. Having listened to Dashboard since being an angst-ridden teen, this album seems really quite special as it puts all the top songs into one place. Starting at the beginning with the 2000s The Swiss Army Romance, hearing this title track is a treat as it’s no longer one that may appear on your Spotify shuffle with more recent albums taking priority. However, I think the highlight from those early years is “Saints and Sailors” from the first full-length album. As we head through the next set of years we get the incredible “Hands Down” before heading into the classic MTV Unplugged album with the live tracks of “The Brilliant Dance”. It takes a while before we get possibly the most well-known Dashboard track with “Vindicated” which is worth the wait as those memories come flooding back from the summer of 2005. The last few tracks on the album just skim over the last 10 years however with no new albums between 2010’s rerelease of The Swiss Army Romance and 2017’s Crooked Shadows this makes sense.

Overall, this is the ultimate album for Dashboard Confessional’s fan base and also a great introduction for those who are yet to be taken in by Chris Carrabba’s soothing voice and melodic music. With 20 tracks to celebrate 20 years it really is The Best Ones of The Best Ones album.
