The Anix + DSPTCH Reinvent the Guitar Strap, Announce Collab Merch Line New Single “DSPTCH” Out Now via FiXT
Los Angeles, CA – Artist/producer and technical apparel enthusiast The Anix has announced a collaboration with San Francisco urban design and manufacturing company DSPTCH, with a radical new approach to the guitar strap. With little innovation in guitar strap functionality in decades, The Anix and DSPTCH have created something uniquely fresh, vastly improving strap mechanics for rapid height adjustments that can be achieved mid-performance, and a modular design allowing users who own multiple straps, to swap components to create their own unique look.

The Anix x DSPTCH Modular Guitar Strap brings the guitar strap into the 21st century as a functional piece of wearable technology. Providing rapid height adjustability, making it possible for the first time, for mid-performance strap height changes. Gripping Biothane® webbing provides powerful stabilization and grip to retain static body position of the guitar over a wide range of angles. A Fidlock® magnetic fastener allows for modular combinations of colors for interchangeable straps, empowering individual creativity and expression, while also allowing the strap to disassemble for easy storage. The strap also provides exceptional mil-spec durability, that is simple to clean with a wipable nonporous surface that won’t absorb sweat or odors.
Along with the Modular Guitar Strap, The Anix has partnered with DSPTCH on a dual layer moisture wicking technical face mask, available in cotton ripstop as well as a top spec version in woven Dyneema®.
The Anix x DSPTCH collection will drop on Friday, March 26th at 9am PST. All launch-day strap orders will also receive a custom set of Fender x The Anix x DSPTCH guitar picks. All products are proudly made in the USA at the DSPTCH headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

“A guitar strap was never something you thought much about. I had been modifying my own straps for 20 years to make them more interesting. The DSPTCH collaboration brings the guitar strap into the 21st century to match the current technological landscape a modern player resides in, using ultra high-tech materials never before seen on a guitar strap. This is a demonstration of functional technology that enhances the interaction between the artist and guitar and brings an element of desirability into a product category that has never existed before. We used a different material and color for each of the 10 components required to produce one strap, so you can visually see how each individual piece contributes to the design and function. The end result is equal parts art and performance and truly feels like a step into the future”. – Brandon Smith, The Anix
“Partnering with The Anix was one of those rare occasions where the stars aligned and what he was able to create with his special edition modular guitar strap made the project come alive. We’re excited to work with a talent as rare as Brandon’s and believe that he represents a future of multi-disciplinary musicians that are able to create experiences that go beyond listening.” – Richard Liu, DSPTCH
Complementing the product collaborations, The Anix has also released a new original single titled “DSPTCH” available today on all major digital/streaming music platforms, which was written for the product launch video.
Immersing listeners in his signature sonic style, The Anix infuses a steely atmosphere with understated synth melodies and heavy percussion on the brand new track. “DSPTCH is available now on all platforms from independent electronic rock label FiXT.
