Sydney punk rock teens THE KIDS release killer new animated video.
Confirmed as support for Skid RowLiving Colour in Australia

Sydney teenage punks, The Kids, have been on a non stop rollercoaster ride since releasing their debut single School back in February. They opened for hard rock legends LA Guns across Australia and New Zealand, supported Guns N’ Roses keyboardist, Dizzy Reed at his jam packed album launch show in Sydney, opened the inaugural Meltdown Festival and got played on Triple J’s Short Fast Loud.

Now they are ready to hit the road again and have just released an awesome animated video for I Just Wanna Be Happy.

The Animated video was created and directed by Glendon and Isabella

The plight of teenage kids across the globe, I Just Wanna Be Happy, tells the story of life’s ups and downs for kids living in today’s world. For all of societies pressures, family, friends, social media and school swirling around your head, sometimes all you want to do is fly a kite in the park and be happy! Life might be a bully but you’ve just got to look that bully in the eye, smile and ‘stand for happiness’!

I Just Wanna Be Happy is 2 minutes and 8 seconds of uptempo angst wrapped up in an old school punk rock vibe that will make you jump around the room and remember what it’s like to be in their shoes.

The Kids have also just locked in a stack of tour dates across Australia including some great supports with Living Colour and Skid Row.

ABOUT THE KIDS
The Kids are led by their extremely busy top drummer, Jagger Alexander, and at just 15 years of age he is already in three professional bands (The Kids, Moon and New Trends). Jagger has honed his life experiences writing their entire debut album I Just Wanna Be Happy, produced by Steve Balbi and set for release via Golden Robot Records in late 2018.

The Kids have already supported a slew of top Aussie and international acts and have taken the stage from Frankies and The Cherry Bar all the way to LA’s famous Whisky A Go-Go.  With influences ranging from Nirvana, RATM, Bad Brains, all the way back to Black Flag, The Descendants and the Pistols, The Kids re-interpret punk rock for a new generation, making it their own in the process.
