Swiss alternative/psych-rock power-trio Dirty Sound Magnet streamed entire new live album // ‘Live Alert’ out on on CD, LP & Digital through Hummus Records

in these strange and difficult times for live music, some bands are still working hard on new songs. Dirty Sound Magnet is one of them. So, less than a year after the official release of ‘Transgenic’ (2019, Hummus Records), the three Swiss alternative/rock/psych weirdos recorded a brand new album during the Spring lockdown.

A new studio album expected in 2021, but before this one, they’ve just give birth to another record : a live session called ‘Live Alert’ out now on CD, LP & Digital on November 6th through Hummus Records and available for full-streaming on BC.

Official statement
“Great news dear fans and friends,
during the pandemic we’ve recorded 2 fantastic albums. The first one will be released in November.
The album is called LIVE ALERT.
It is a representation of what Dirty Sound Magnet sounds like in a live setting. No overdubs, no production… Just sound, energy and emotion!
We’ve been touring relentlessly for the last 3 years and a lot of songs have evolved beyond the studio versions. Many of you have told us that you would like to enjoy our live energy on album.
We wanted to record our spring tours but Corona kicked in. So we decided to do it in our rehearsal room. It turns out it was the perfect setting. We were focused yet relaxed and inspired. The performances and the energy are what you would expect from us on a memorable night. We can’t be more happy with the result.
We filmed the whole session and we are super excited to release the album and the videos.
We will give you more news and tease you regularly with some extracts until the official album release. Stay tuned!

…For the record…
 Dirty Sound Magnet is a lifelong pursuit built on a feverish, border-line-religious passion for music and a common set of guiding values and beliefs. Members Stavros Dzodzosz (Guitar, Vocals), Marco Mottolini (Bass) and Maxime Cosandey (Drums), The three state it plainly: “there is no plan B”.
Their dedication is unconditional, unequivocal, and unavoidable. Not one of the members has been engaged in any side projects since the band’s formation a decade ago; Dirty Sound Magnet offers them a musical framework without any boundaries to their creative expression.
The band’s DNA can be traced back to the ancestral ‘Golden Age of Rock’ (60s, 70s), but it would be incorrect to think that DSM is…“retro”. The musicians are inspired by contemporary artists and modern production techniques, pushing the boundaries as they see fit.
The results are personal, unique and original. Simply put: the Dirty Sound Magnet experience is a mystical journey back to the future… “TRANSGENIC”.
