Sleeping With Sirens are back with their 6th full-length album How it Feels To Be Lost . The band has seen success in the past with previous albums peaking in the UK and US charts back in 2013 and 2015. They have also seen a fair few changes in the past with record labels but are now currently sat with Sumerian following the departure from Warner Brosfor their last album. Despite all the changes, it would however appear that the band has not lost its edge as is shown with this latest release.

Where to start with the album itself is a difficult one as each track is quite amazing in its own right. With the strong and heavy riffs melded with the melodic vocals and sharper screaming, from the start, you can hear that it’s got Sleeping With Sirens written all over it. For something a little different however there is “Blood Lines” which is definitely one of the more heavier and darker tracks on the album. From the almost rap style verses to the distortion heard throughout, the vocals certainly hold a challenge. Through this however , the lyrics stand out much more and there is that darker feel to those. The band has never shied away from writing with that tone however this track stands out for this. For something more light hearted, well lighter, “Agree to Disagree” has a chorus that is certain to get your head banging and feet tapping! There is a very good mix throughout the album of these more upbeat tracks and those which are darker and heavier.

Sleeping With Sirens have a very distinct sound which is similar to that which makes bands such as Black Veil Brides distinctive. From the vocals to the blend of heavy riffs and vocals to lyrical tones, this album is most certainly keeping in style with the sound the band has already grown and created but takes it up to the next level.
